JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is a nationally renowned power generation and engineering contractor in the building and construction industry, they take a boutique approach to large scale projects and have a reputation for industry innovation. This role will be based in the Traralgon branch with travel required 1 day per week to the head office in Cranbourne West, VIC for meetings and staff co-ordination. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Mechanical Draftperson with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work independently. The role will require you to work in a small team of driven professionals, to liaise with a range of internal stakeholders including engineers, builders and on-site staff where necessary. You will be self-motivated and have experience using AutoCAD, Inventor and Revit to produce fabrication drawings. The remuneration package on offer will be commensurate with demonstrated skills and experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of workshop fabrication drawings, site layout and general arrangement drawings through the use of AutoCAD, Inventor and Revit
  • Ordering and preparation of materials and stock
  • Assisting with running projects
  • Liaising with a range of stakeholders
  • Prepare and maintain QA documentation
  • Coordinating internal projects and staff from design through to delivery
  • Supervision of fabrication team
Skills and Experience:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or demonstration of relevant industry experience essential
  • Ability to produce accurate mechanical drawings
  • Working knowledge and understanding of building codes and standards required
  • Previous on-the job project experience favourable (AutoCAD MEP is essential)
