This new position will support Council’s Corporate Governance and Risk Management functions through provision of professional advice and application of technical skills.

About the role:

In this role priorities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide advice on corporate policies and procedures, and assist in the maintenance of corporate registers.
  • Review policies and procedures to ensure accuracy, relevance and legislative compliance.
  • Process access to information requests in accordance with the Government Information (Public Access) Act.
  • Assist in the management of complaints, including privacy complaints in accordance with policies and procedures and legislative requirements.
  • Provide risk management advice in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Prepare with Governance reports, and
  • Perform higher duties during absences of senior Governance and Risk officers.

  • Diploma in a relevant discipline.
  • Relevant experience and training in a similar role.

Where it's located:

This position is based in Murwillumbah, and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
