JOB DESCRIPTION

Immediately available Facilities position in Government body, Up to $49 per hour + Super, CBD on site Location


Your new company
A highly respected Government body based in Melbourne CBD requires an immediately available Facilities Management Officer to join the team on an initial 3 month contract to assist the Facilities & Security division with the management of contractors on site completing upgrade project works and ensuring ongoing building compliance. With a small amount of administration involved, you will be joining the team in a varied position requiring previous FM experience and ability to hit the ground running. This is a 100% site based role in the CBD offices.

Your new role
In this role, you will be required to:

  • Manage the repairs and maintenance of office equipment
  • Direct and supervise external contractors on site in a highly secure environment
  • Assist with facilitating and progressing minor upgrade project works
  • Identifying and escalating OHS issues
  • Assisting with the facilitation and design of office accommodation layouts and staff reintegration into the offices
  • Essential services
  • Raising POs, invoicing and correspondence


What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this position, you will require:
  • A background and prior experience in Facilities Management
  • Prior experience managing and supervising trades staff, essential services and an understanding of the building code
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • A national police check will be required on successful placement
