JOB DESCRIPTION

Due to continued growth in our Plant & Process team in South Queensland, we have a great opportunity for an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer to join our Brisbane team.

Working with the Team Leader – Instrumentation and Controls, you will be challenged with delivering across a wide range of projects and industries, assisting in the development and delivery of key design documents on schedule and on budget. Our projects typically span across variety of industries such as hydrogen and renewable energy, oil & gas, process plants, power stations, water and wastewater and transport.

You will be part of a strong team of engineering professionals and be mentored by senior industry professionals, to grow your career. As a motivated engineer, you will be keen to delivery high quality outputs as an integral member of the team. With good communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment, this opportunity will see you working on a diverse range of national and international projects.

What You Will Bring To The Team

  • Previous 1-3 years’ experience within an industrial engineering environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar (e.g., Mechatronics).
  • Understanding of relevant standards for electrical and instrumentation (such as/NZS 3000).
  • Preference is for an understanding of telecommunications, renewable energy, industrial communications systems, SCADA, PLC/DCS, Hazardous Areas, and Functional Safety would be viewed favourably.
  • Familiar with Safety in Design, including typical risk assessment practices such as HAZOP and Safety Management Studies.
  • Ability to proactively interact with Project Managers, discipline engineers and designers to develop project deliverables.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills.
  • Good time management skills with the ability to manage competing requirements effectively.
  • Adaptable to work environment variability.


This role will require someone to work within project teams under differing levels of supervision and the ability to meet challenging, multiple deadlines for a broad range of projects.
