Provision of support for various aspects relating to patient flow through the service, including intake calls and managing phone and email enquiries; providing genetic counselling (mostly by telephone), explaining genetic test results and ordering genetic testing (as needed); supporting recruitment for the project in Queensland through identifying clinical sites for recruitment, liaising with sites to implement recruitment, ongoing monitoring of sites, and assisting with the recruitment of participants; supporting screening program research through collecting outcome data from screening tests; contributing to patient and health professional education through drafting information material and delivering presentations; and input into screening program development.

About The Role

  • Collecting and recording data on outcomes of patients who have had screening.
  • General administration tasks relating to the project.
  • Act as a liaison with the laboratory providing genetic screening.
  • Entry of data into study databases.
  • Preparation of data for meetings.
  • Contribute to ethics and governance submission as appropriate.
  • Contributing data for publications/presentations of research outcomes.
  • Triaging and promptly responding to telephone and email enquiries, actioning results issued by laboratory
  • teams, responding to requests from laboratory teams for sourcing additional information on tests requested, coordinating sample recollects as required and arranging screening clinic appointments.
