About the role 

The Partnerships Coordinator role is a part of the Not Too Young To ‘Strategy and Partnerhsips Team’. This team comprises of our Co-Founders, Strategy Director and Partnerships Manager. 

Given the infancy of Not Too Young To, the roles and responsibilities of the Team have had a flexible nature. Collaboration, open communication and transparency are at the heart of how we try to work. That being said, there are three focus areas for the Partnerships Coordinator role: 

  • Developing Strategic Partnerships: Develop and lead our partnerships strategy and identify, cultivate and solicit relationships with sponsors, corporate partners, philanthropists, community fundraisers and volunteers.
  • Fundraising: Manage community fundraising events and strategy including online engagement and implement innovation and new initiatives to develop donor pipeline.
  • Goal setting and achievement: Work to meet and exceed set outcomes and revenue targets and promote a collaborative and energising work culture.

Please note: This is a voluntary position and we are unable to provide financial compensation to successful applicants at this time. 


We operate a flat structure and you will have the autonomy to work alongside the Co-Founders, Strategy Director and Brand and Creative Director. 

  • The Partnership Coordinator role will work closely with and be provided with guidance by the Partnerships Manager and Strategy Director 
  • You may be required to provide leadership and guidance to other volunteers as the organisation grows. 

Time commitment 

  • Applicants should be available to volunteer for at least 2-4 hours a week. 
  • Most work can be completed to suit people’s schedule throughout the week. 
  • However, we are looking to establish a regular weekly meeting for the executive team to occur for up to 60 minutes per week.

  • Relevant skills & experience 

    • Experience in a fundraising environment and a willingness to learn and develop fundraising skills.
    • An entrepreneurial mindset with strong communication and influencing skills and stakeholder relationship building skills.
    • Ability to develop and implement fundraising and marketing strategies and campaigns
    • Excellent research and analysis skills.
    • A team-player, enthusiastic and results driven.
    • A good understanding of or willingness to learn and understand the philanthropic landscape in Australia.
    • Time management skills and an ability to prioritise tasks and work to long-term goals. Ability to work independently as well as an effective team member.

    Example involvement and outputs: 

    • Developing Strategic Partnerships
    • Attending weekly meetings to discuss priorities for the week; 
    • Provide advice and ideas to the Partnership manager
    • Attending any ad-hoc planning sessions ahead of launching major campaigns
    • Provide ideas for fundraising events and strategy 
    • Design content with our social media and content writers for online engagement 
    • Meet your KPIs and lead by example to help others to achieve theirs

    Role model success behaviours, lead meetings, discussions and maintain good communication with the team.
