About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated Sales Development Representative with industry experience in primary school education and ideally, EdTech sales, who is passionate about improving the wellbeing of children, schools, and families, and loves working in a highly dynamic environment.

This is a unique opportunity to join our team at Life Skills Group and be a catalyst in supporting exponential growth and impact as we build out our Sales function. Is this you?

Located in our head office in Sydney this role is part of a growing team with opportunity for career development & progression.

You'll need to be able to demonstrate a history of measurable outbound sales goals in an automated sales environment. You'll need to be a self-starter, enthusiastic, yet patient with clientele, organised and results driven, to succeed in this role. 

You will naturally display a high level of communication - particularly effective listening skills, writing skills, presentation skills with an ability to communicate and deliver a technology demonstration and have the ability to work autonomously while managing competing priorities. You will also have experience proactively maintaining a client sales database.

Previous sales experience in the Education sector and SaaS sales is essential.

What you will be doing

  • Achieve prospect qualification and sales targets.
  • Source new sales opportunities through lead follow up, outbound cold calls and emails.
  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest.
  • Understand customer needs and requirements through discovery calls.
  • Ability to demonstrate our EdTech platform and guide a client through our services to achieve sales targets.
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate Sales Team members for further development and closure.
  • Manage the Hubspot CRM system to ensure all activity is recorded and manage leads through to successful handover to the Sales Team and Customer Success.
  • Assist with performing effective online demos to prospects when required.

Previous sales experience in the Education sector and SaaS sales is essential.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • 2+ years experience in SaaS sales (ideally EdTech, but other software industries considered).
  • Commanding desire to represent a growing brand, and bring our product and vision to other schools in K-6 education space
  • Industry experience and an excellent understanding of the primary school curriculum

Bonus points if you have:

  • Previously a teacher or wellbeing leader in a primary school
  • Prior experience in EdTech
  • A strong network of contacts in Primary Schools
  • Have experience in a high growth startup environment
