Senior Risk Manager - Credit Risk, Consumer Credit

We are looking for a Senior Manager within our Consumer Finance division to act as key support to Executive Managers with managing Personal Lending portfolio. You will be responsible for maintaining "best practice" credit risk management processes and techniques that support the stated risk appetite, product, and customer strategy.

How will I help?

  • To produce superior analysis and insight of portfolio trends that help drive change that improves portfolio performance and customer outcomes.
  • To actively develop and monitor the Personal Lending portfolio policy in-line with stated performance and customer objectives and syndicate with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Development, research, analysis, and interpretation of significant portfolio performance trends.
  • Maintain effective partnership with the Consumer Finance Line of Business (LOB) by providing timely support in relation to credit risk, business development and product management issues.
  • Development, implementation and monitoring of risk mitigation practices and procedures for use in Operation centres.
  • Development of credit risk parameters for marketing initiatives, new product development and enhancements.
  • Ensure credit policy and business strategy is communicated effectively to the frontline and stakeholders.

What do I need?

  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent credit risk experience
  • Proficient with credit policy and existing consumer finance origination processes
  • Risk management and credit policy experience.
  • Knowledge of the credit lifecycle
  • Strong understanding of Consumer Finance and Personal Lending
  • Experience using analytical tools (SAS, SQL) and business intelligence software (Tableau, Power BI)
  • Desirable practical experience in business lending and collections
