About the role

The Associate Director, Media is responsible for the planning, development and delivery of media strategies to support Australia Day and other major events, guest-of-government visits, commemorations and celebrations and other government initiatives, and provide leadership and support within the Media team on a range of media-related activity as required.

Clerk Grade 11/12. Package includes base salary ($128,473 - $148,578) plus superannuation and leave loading.

About the Team

The Department of Premier and Cabinet Communications team is made up of media, communications and creative services professionals. We service the communications needs of the Premier's and Minister's offices and the leadership of the Department Premier and Cabinet to deliver on Government priorities and serving the community of NSW.

About You

  • Proven track record and experience in media and communication management.

  • Advanced communication skills.

  • Ability to manage and develop high performing, collaborative and engaged teams.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing high priority projects to deliver quality outcomes to tight deadlines.

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated relevant or professional experience and training in communications and media.
