About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about providing high level strategic leadership to deliver whole-of-Department initiatives and reforms to support regional, rural and remote students, staff and communities in NSW in achieving great outcomes for learners of all ages.

This role is a critical member of the leadership team responsible for the delivery of educational outcomes that align with the Department’s strategy and put students and young people at the centre of all our decision making.

The role will be located in Regional NSW, with the final regional location to be negotiated with the successful candidate

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who has:

  • appropriate tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as education, business, management, social sciences or communications, and/or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • a valid Working with Children Check (WWC) clearance
  • demonstrated extensive experience at a senior level in the management in a large complex organisation.
  • knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
