As a member of the ICT Telephony Services team, the role has the following responsibilities:

Provide 24/7 support to key enterprise telephony systems, actively monitor and resolve issues promptly.

  • Field incoming service calls from end-users and takes appropriate action to resolve technical and infrastructure issues. These actions include documenting issues, prioritising requests, working with vendors and/or developing a solution;

  • Actively contributing to improvements to Telephony systems and processes as part of improving the quality of service that is provided to customers;

  • Ensure infrastructure environments are fully maintained with appropriately supported updates, patches and/or service packs in line with corporate system and IT security policies;

  • Personal maturity to deal with a range of competing priorities and professional judgment to handle emergencies effectively;

  • Works collaboratively with vendors to identify product features that improve business processes;

  • Participates in knowledge sharing activities with colleagues and other staff;

  • Participate in activities for implementation of system upgrades including new or customised software through system testing, integration, deployment to production and application support.

  • Produces required documentation for changes as well as process and system enhancements.

  • Provide effective troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve problems promptly.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to learn and adapt to new software applications as they are introduced to the department.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required to fulfill job function or as assigned;

  • Equitably shares in performing duty and on-call duties.

The candidate will work closely with ICT Infrastructure team members in providing support services to the various system owners.
