This exciting and newly created role will require you to work hand in hand with the Marketing & Sales teams to confidently prospect and generate high quality leads from large enterprise accounts and across various industries in the APAC area, through outbound call prospecting, and email campaigns as well as qualify inbound leads to determine sales readiness.

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) you will have an amazing opportunity to be part of the fast-moving 'engine room' for generating business for the enterprise sales team.

You will work across multiple departments, and with internal and external stakeholders to set up the sales team for success while playing a key role in growing Mimecast across the region.

Success within the SDR team will give you the opportunity to progress into a great career in the many internal roles you will come into contact with throughout your journey with us as well as learn key strategies and skills to set up your professional career.

  • Prospecting and taking enquiries from potential clients with the overall goal of generating and maturing leads for your sales partner
  • Create, prioritise, and qualify strategic target account lists.
  • Screening and qualifying potential business through cold calling, emails, and other outreach activities
  • Achieve or exceed monthly Sales Qualified Lead (SQL) quotas across a mix of target prospect roles
  • Identifying and overcoming objections whilst addressing business pain points through high activity
  • Effective use of Salesforce and various in-house tools to manage your leads and data
  • Ability to ‘think outside the square’ and generate your own leads
  • Speaking directly with multiple prospects and articulating the benefits of the Mimecast platform through marketing campaigns
  • Attending marketing events (both digitally and physically) to build meaningful relationships and scope potential opportunities

You will have:

  • Previous sales and/or lead generation experience

  • A previous track record to go above and beyond to exceed targets and KPIs
  • Excellent phone skills to be able to drive the conversation to the desired outcomes
  • Interest in SaaS/ IT / Cyber Security
