During the unprecedented times of 2020 RAA were proud to retain our entire Travel Team. With redeployment our travel team embraced new opportunities within RAA and now travel is back some team members have chosen to continue their new careers thus bringing vacancies within our travel department.


Reporting to the Travel Sales Manager, you will be accountable for providing direction and motivation to your team members, assisting with staff development through on the job coaching and performance improvement plans, and working with the Travel Sales Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the Travel Agency.


You will also manage your own portfolio of new and existing clients, leading by example by providing outstanding service backed with strong product knowledge together with:

  • Direct, motivate and monitor team members, providing feedback and coaching when required
  • Ensure that team members consistently achieve allocated sales targets and minimum benchmarks
  • Solve escalated customer concerns in order to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Create and manage end to end travel bookings tailored to each customer’s needs 
  • Achieve and exceed your own set sales targets

About you

At RAA we hire on cultural fit first and technical fit second! However, to be successful in the role you will need to have:

  • Certificate in Travel Tourism or relevant qualification
  • Demonstrated experience in travel consulting in both a consultant and leadership capacity
  • A strong desire to motivate, inspire and lead a team
  • A proven track record of sales achievement in the travel industry
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • In-depth knowledge of travel IT systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a reputation for making things happen
