The Opportunity

The Contracts Officer is the primary point of contact for all contractual agreements and matters relating to works undertaken by Arc for third parties on areas such as siding connections and level crossings. The Contracts Officer will collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure these agreements maintain or improve the standard of rail corridor assets whilst maintaining value generation to the business.

The role achieves this by:

  • Being our key point of contact, as well as the commercial liaison point for internal stakeholders.
  • Providing end to end management of agreements from negotiation, execution and finalisation.
  • Proactively managing issues, concerns and disputes effectively by building trust and respect, and anticipating and responding to internal and external stakeholder needs.
  • Working with our safety team to develop, negotiate, implement and review safety interface agreements.
  • Collaborating with team members for all agreements, variations and correspondence.
  • Building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

About You

To be successful in this role we like you to have: 

  • Degree in business or commerce (preferable but not essential).
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate through building and developing relationships based on trust, integrity, and credibility.
  • Sound commercial and business acumen
  • Sound communication, commercial contract negotiation and contract management skills
  • Sound analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Financial management and contract drafting skills desired but not essential
