As Max Kelsen continues to grow, we are looking for Business and Test Analysts to drive success with our customers. We are very excited about this position as it is open to new graduates or individuals who have recently started their careers. You will be working within an experienced Project Management Office, receiving support from experienced BAs and PMs, as well as coaching and mentoring from our Project Delivery Lead. This role will see you immersed in our existing client portfolio with access to cutting-edge machine learning and software development applications that solve real business problems for our clients.

What does a Business & Test Analyst typically do at Max Kelsen?

  • Gather and document business and technical requirements
  • Map and analyse the As-Is process to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Contribute to the creation and documentation of To-Be solution designs
  • Document findings and make recommendations on process workflows
  • Work with technical teams to ensure any technical solutions meet the client's requirements
  • Write user stories and acceptance criteria that meet business and technical requirements
  • Document meetings and generate appropriate actions 
  • Provide solutions to complex problems within engagements and oversee the delivery of project milestones
  • Consult with a cross-section of user groups to capture and refine business processes
  • Create testing approaches and plans, inclusive of synthetic data requirements 
  • Work with members of the project team to write and execute test scripts to ensure full coverage to all requirements are met
  • Provide testing support to the development team in preparation for Go-Live

What experience, education, and skills should this person have?

  • Undergraduate or master’s degree or 1 –3 years of work experience in a relevant role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Ability to analyse complex information and document this in a way that is easily understandable and digestible
  • A can-do attitude and the willingness to develop within the organisation as it grows
  • The ability to challenge and question the status quo

We are looking for people with a willingness to learn and the ability to contribute from Day 1. They can balance timelines and business priorities with technical feasibility. They need to have an inquisitive eye to capture and document business processes and workflows. They are adamant about solving problems and are a reliable resource for insight and assessment of technical issues. They are able to speak openly and humbly about any issues or roadblocks, clearly articulating the matter and how it can be addressed. They will be able to communicate effectively, facilitate sessions with stakeholders and produce reports for clients.
