The University of Tasmania Legal and Risk encompasses Legal Services, Audit & Risk, Compliance and Governance Instruments and is responsible for identifying and managing the University’s legal risk through the provision of independent, sound and practical legal advice and services that support the University’s educational, research, commercial and administrative functions.

The Opportunity

In conjunction with the Senior Advisor, responsible for providing effective and efficient support to the University’s Legal and Audit Team and assist with management and coordination of operational activities in the Legal division.

Key Accountabilities:
Manage incoming legal requests, assist with work allocation and workflow management.
Management of contract templates.
Assist in the preparation and finalisation of legal documentation and memos.
Assist with conveyancing matters.

Your Application

To be successful in the role, your application will need to demonstrate;

Highly developed interpersonal and verbal communication skills, including ability to exercise diplomacy, discretion and confidentiality.
Have experience in preparing first drafts of legal documentation.
Ability to proactively manage workflows that relate to property, construction and other transactions.
Proven high level attention to detail in the preparation of written materials which are widely distributed such as briefing notes and training materials.
Highly proficient with Microsoft word paired with the ability to proofread large volumes of pages and cross reference.

Remuneration

Appointment to this role will be at HEO 5 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $90,723 comprising base salary within the range of $69,433 to $77,541 plus 17% superannuation.
