THE CLIENT
My client is a unique leader in their field in the Polyurethanes Industry, who's Australian customers are well supported by a manufacturing facility located in South East Queensland. Their products are distributed throughout the South East Asian region, via master distributors in New Zealand, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Singapore and the Philippines.

They are now on the lookout for a Technical Support Specialist to be based in their Gold Coast office! This is a great opportunity for those people who have a mechanical (of various disciplines) and/or Hydraulic background, to train up into a role, where you will be training the client on how to use the product and will also require some travel to various states in Australia and some occasional travel overseas.

THE ROLE
  • Assisting with new product & equipment training
  • In-house and onsite training of their products and equipment
  • Providing technical support and assistance to customers
  • R&D Testing and product sample manufacturing
  • Becoming proficient in the manufacture and application of the product range
  • Developing an understanding of the equipment and its use
  • Maintain and keep current all product TDS and Training information
THE CANDIDATE
Training will be provided to the right candidate, who will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to the customers and to also develop and deliver training programs on new products as required.
  • Mechanical and / or Hydraulic background (any discipline)
  • Qualifications not essential - Experience is
  • Excellent communication skills and presentation
  • Competency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to work unsupervised and in a proactive manner
  • Organisation and time management skills
  • Well-Developed written skills
  • Confidence when dealing with customers and staff
  • A disciplined approach and willingness to learn and take on new tasks as required
  • A current "A" Class drivers license essential
  • Forklift license desirable
  • Experience in Industrial Coating Industry as well as the use of Graco Pleural Spray equipment would be highly desirably, but not essential as training will be provided
