John Holland Seymour Whyte Joint Venture (JHSWJV) have been successfully awarded the contract for the design and construction of Sydney Gateway Stage 1 and Stage 3. The project includes 5 kilometres of new road, 16 bridges and close to 3 kilometres of active transport links.
Benefits of the project include increasing road capacity at Sydney airport, both domestic and international airports. As well as assisting traffic links to Port Botany and St Peter's interchange. JHSWJV will support more than 4,000 jobs over the life of the project.

Stage 1: International Terminal and Qantas Drive connection - a new high capacity road connection, linking the Sydney Motorway network at St Peter's interchange with Sydney Airports International Terminal and Qantas Drive.

Stage 3: Domestic Terminal access - an arterial road connection and flyover to Sydney Airport's Domestic Terminals. This Stage includes improvements to existing roads, to relieve congestion and improve connectivity to Sydney Airport Domestic Terminals and towards Port Botany.

About the Role

The JHSWJV team are seeking an experienced Environment Coordinator to provide support to the Environmental team and coordinate the implementation of project environment programs to ensure adherence with relevant environmental legislation, regulations and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Support the maintenance of comprehensive environmental records
  • Support the management of environmental consultants and undertake field monitoring as required
  • Identify and initiate localised environment improvement initiatives
  • Ensure management if informed of any relevant changes to legal, regulatory and project environmental requirements
  • Report environmental performance, compliance and defects
  • Maintain an up=to-date knowledge of all relevant legal, regulatory and company environmental requirements
What You'll Need to Succeed:
  • Bachelor Degree in Environmental Engineering, Science, Sustainability or other associated disciplines
  • A minimum of 12 months Construction Environment Management experience
  • Knowledge of compliance and reporting procedures and processes
