Are you up for the challenge?

Based in our Brisbane office we currently have a full-time role available for a Social Inclusion Advisor supporting the QLD / NT Infrastructure Projects and Business Unit. This is a lead role that will see you supporting the full life cycle of Projects from pre contracts through to project launch into delivery.

The key responsibilities are to lead the Social Inclusion activities, including but not limited to:

  • Operating in a National Team provide specific Social Inclusion, Diversity and Training support to projects across QLD and NT
  • Support and deliver the Enterprise-wide Inclusion, Diversity, Talent and Development strategy
  • Act as conduit between Corporate/BU and Projects, ensuring the delivery of enterprise programs and plans are embedded consistently
  • Creation and implementation of Training and Workforce Development programs including the monitoring of compliance with and evaluation of
  • Develop and Lead initiatives to ensure compliance with QLD Training Policy including Apprentices, Trainees and disadvantaged or minority groups
  • Manage the onboarding and sign up of trainees and apprentices with Australian Apprenticeship Centres
  • Provide data and progress reports related to Social Inclusion and Training activities
  • Develop a local service provider network for social inclusion, procurement, and diversity activities
  • Embed social procurement within the QLD/NT business to increase Social Procurement spend, including the education of sub-contractors on Projects
  • Provide projects with support and advice to leverage existing partnerships and strategies to ensure inclusive and diverse employment, procurement, and training compliance
  • Assist with Training and Development plans at EOI, Tender and Project Award stage
  • Provide advice at Project launch to maximise early engagement and procurement including strategies to meet Social Inclusion and Training commitments ensuring real outcomes
  • Perform all duties in accordance with John Holland policies, processes, systems, and procedures
