Exciting position for an Asset Manager to join a rapidly growing developer with a strong industrial portfolio

Your new company
Hays are proud to be partnering with one of the most exciting and rapidly growing developers in Victoria. Having expertly transacted a number of key industrial and retail assets over the last 18 months, they have quickly grown their investment portfolio to $150M with a strong pipeline of acquisitions and developments ahead. Due to rapid growth an opportunity has become available for an Asset Manager to join their experienced team.

Your new role
Reporting to the Head of Asset Management and working closely with their Development team, you will be enforcing their long term business plan and delivering returns for the owners. This is a diverse role that will allow you to use your existing skills and experience, but also up-skill in different areas of the property life-cycle. The role will involve the following duties:

  • Developing and implementing strategic Business Plans
  • Property Management: Manage a high end industrial/retail portfolio (predominantly industrial)
  • Manage leasing matters, including managing 3rd party agents
  • Project Management: Liaise with consultants, builders and tradesmen to design, plan and execute small CAPEX projects and Tenant fitouts
  • Relationship Management: Represent the Landlord to deal with any issues with tenants, suppliers or authorities
  • Assist development and transactions teams with acquisitions and disposals
  • Financial modelling and feasibilities
  • Reporting on property valuations

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • 2-3 years experience in client-side Asset Management (preferred)
  • Senior Valuers looking to transition into Asset Management will be considered
  • Extensive understanding of Commercial Real Estate
  • Substantial experience in Commercial Negotiations (Leasing)
  • Project Management experience in dealing with CAPEX works or Tenant Fitouts
  • Ability to think critically and work autonomously
  • Willingness to take on all tasks whether big or small
  • Understanding and implementation of the organisations long term business plan
