About us

Consumer Affairs Victoria is a business unit of the Information and Dispute Services Centre, Services and Support Division in the Department of Justice and Community Safety.

The Information and Dispute Services Centre (IDSC) is the ‘front line' of Consumer Affairs Victoria (CAV's) consumer protection activities providing information to market participants by the handling of and response to frontline enquiries & complaints.

The IDSC also provides an effective and timely dispute resolution service for consumers, businesses, tenants and landlords.

About the role

As the Learning and Development Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • developing, facilitating, and assessing training programs for the IDSC Branch
  • reviewing training after completion and analyse trends in performance to measure success
  • coordinating learning programs, for example, booking venues and facilitators
  • managing and contributing to various IDSC L&D projects.

In this role, the Learning and Development Coordinator will be required to work closely with the Quality Manager to review trend analysis and report on learning outcomes and ongoing assessments.

About you

As the Learning and Development Coordinator, you will possess:

  • a working understanding of Adult Learning principles
  • demonstrated knowledge of how to design, develop, facilitate and evaluate learning and development activities
  • demonstrated ability to plan, scope and manage learning and development projects
  • qualifications or equivalent experience in training within a customer service or a regulatory environment (desirable).

A certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent qualification in Educational studies would be highly desirable.
