JOB DESCRIPTION

The Role

HYC is searching for a Sous Chef to work in a small and dynamic team.

Reporting to the Head Chef, the candidate will be required to work in all outlets of the Club and be required to both work alone and also in a team while ensuring food standards are met, along with meeting all OHS and Hygiene requirements. Applicants must have the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, professional Kitchen and will need a strong work ethic and have the ability to multitask.


The work is challenging and varied and the role has the ability to develop personal knowledge and experience. The successful candidate must also have a passion to deliver consistent, quality food to our Members and guests using local and fresh produce.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Flexibility is required with the ability to work weekends, late nights, early mornings
  • Ability to train and develop junior staff
  • Must have the right to work in Australia
  • Formal qualifications in Commercial Cookery
  • Experience in a Commercial Kitchen
  • COVID19 Hygiene certificate and HACCP knowledge
