The School Improvement Implementation team is part of the Partnerships, Schools and Preschools division and has as a key focus on the implementation of the school improvement model. This includes the school improvement planning cycle, the school improvement dashboard and a range of literacy and numeracy improvement guidebooks. This model is aligned with literacy and numeracy improvement strategies for increased Aboriginal Achievement, as well as being aligned to the preschool context.

The Administrative Officer, reporting to the Director, School Improvement Implementation, is responsible for providing a range of complex and specialised administrative duties to support the work of the School Improvement Implementation group, particularly the Aboriginal Achievement Initiative. This role provides an efficient, responsive and professional point of contact for internal and external clients and delivers a range of business, financial project and management support services including coordinating and undertaking the delivery of quality records management, procurement, travel, events, HR and document management functions that contribute to the achievement of the goals and objectives of School Improvement Implementation. The role delivers efficient and responsive support for the day-to-day activities of the Director, School Improvement implementation and other staff in the group.

Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department of Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. A current DHS child-related employment screening will be recognised as a WWCC until it expires. The incumbent will be required to undertake Responding to Abuse & Neglect (RAN) full day/online training course every three years. For all other Special Conditions please refer to the Role Description.

Remuneration
ASO3 - $63,681 - $67,868 pa
