This exciting new role exists to engage seniors with social group outings and workshops to promote community connection, engagement as well as skill building. The Social Activities Coordinator role is critical to the overall success of achieving wellness and reablement goals of older people.

Key Accountabilities are but not limited to;

  • Plan all aspects of events and activities, including client bookings, costings, pick-up and drop-off of clients, logistics of route optimisation and booking of vehicle/s.
  • Attend most outings, ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Work closely with all volunteers and the Volunteer Support Coordinator using effective influencing skills, to ensure positive outcomes.
  • Ensure expenditure is in line with approved budget guidelines.
  • Maintain effective records, logs and photos of all events and activities.
  • Create new, or update old, risk assessments for all events and activities.
  • Be aware of and ensure compliance with all other relevant legislation, regulations, and standards.
  • Promote the calendar using a range of channels (mail, web, social media, email)


  • Experience in event management.
  • Hold a current Police Check.
  • Good level of computer literacy and experience
  • A current Open Driver's Licence and the ability to drive.


  • In-depth knowledge of client needs and service delivery standards in the aged care or social support sector.

Applicants that have the above skills and qualifications with experience in the Aged Care sector will be highly advantageous.
