Wipro is seeking accomplished individuals to lead Integration Programs as part of the company’s M&A campaign. The Integration Program Lead will manage the achievement of integration timelines and ensure a good employee experience for the acquired employees. This individual will be responsible for governing each workstream and ensuring the desired results are achieved in an efficient manner. This individual will also facilitate interdependencies between workstreams and ensure teams effectively consider all the implications of their work. This role is a highly visible role and requires frequent discussion with senior executives of Wipro and of acquired companies. An ideal candidate is a creative problem solver, an operational leader and strong communicator and someone who can build trust with all stakeholders.

Additionally, individuals must thrive in a dynamic and rapidly growing environment. The person selected will lead a team with broad and deep range of experience across different areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand the strategic priorities of an acquisition and create an integration philosophy that ties into the acquisition priorities
  • Engage proactively in the transaction due diligence process and work closely with Corporate Development and cross-functional leaders to develop an integration program for each transaction
  • Orchestrate all tracks (Functional: Delivery, Sales, HR, Marketing, Operations, Finance, People Supply Chain, Procurement, and Cross Functional: Systems, Process, Change Management & Communications) towards a common goal of integrating the acquired company with Wipro, while preserving unique attributes that have business impact and employee value
  • Devise bespoke integration plans across various tracks with joint representation from Wipro and the acquired company that are well planned, comprehensive, and implemented in an efficient and effective manner
  • Create Program structure to manage each track to ensure alignment to timelines, dependencies are accounted, risks/roadblocks are called out, issues are resolved in a timely manner, and appropriate escalation mechanisms are in place, in case of an impasse
  • Prepare and provide periodic updates to senior management from both Wipro and the acquired company on integration progress and any potential roadblocks leading to milestone deviations
  • Coach each track to make effective use of change management frameworks and use extensive communications from the point of discovery conversations between the two teams, leading all the way up to employee communications informing and educating them on new systems/ processes/ways of working
  • Develop a formal integration budget for each transaction and monitor it regularly
  • Serve as a single point of contact for all M&A integration stakeholders and establish strong relationships with key stakeholders to forge strong partnerships and secure sponsorship
  • Help the acquired company management team set priorities, engage appropriate resources and navigate Wipro’s operating model
  • Exhibit cross-functional leadership and delivery in a matrixed organization through collaboration and building of effective relationships

Role Demands

  • Excellence in program management to design, develop and govern the integration plan across cross-functional teams
  • Ability to understand cross-functional processes across Business, Delivery, Finance, HR, Marketing, Administration etc. This is required to understand convergence and divergence in processes of both organizations and hold conversations with multiple stakeholders across varied disciplines and expertise areas
  • Ability to confidently build a strong rapport with extended teams within the acquired organization. Good networking skills to work across different multi-cultural teams towards focused goal. Comfortable in interacting with and presenting to senior business leaders
  • Strong drive with a can-do attitude and a strong desire to learn. Commitment to making a positive lasting impact. Ability to influence early wins in the integration process
  • The ability to succeed in an environment with ambiguities and uncertainties

The ideal candidate will be an inspiring and confident leader with a total work experience of

8-10 years, and at least 5 years of experience in M &A integration.
