Your new team

The Senior Analyst, Private Equity will be part of the team responsible for managing the private equity fund/co-investment portfolio and will also support the team responsible for managing the co-underwrite portfolio. The private equity co-investment portfolio has grown rapidly over the past 3 years. Strong deal-flow is expected to continue as we deepen existing GP relationships and add new GP relationships

Your new role

Reporting to two Associate Portfolio Manager’s in the Private Equity team you will be responsible for assessing specific Private Equity funds and co-investments by applying a disciplined and consistent investment process, coordinate the various internal activities (e.g. legal, tax and operational risk), act as a conduit between the internal teams and the GP and prepare recommendation reports for the Head of External Private Equity.

Key Duties:

  • Support the day-to-day fund monitoring process for the Private Equity portfolio
  • Lead or support the day-to-day relationship management responsibilities with the incumbent and prospective GPs, including building/strengthening strategic relationships
  • Review of the systems and processes involved in sourcing, selecting and monitoring funds and co-investments
  • Provide input into the Private Equity strategy, including researching investment issues/themes.

What you’ll need

The successful candidate will have strong experience supporting private equity fund investments and co-investments coupled with highly developed people & relationship management skills. In addition, you will also possess:

  • Fundamental equity analysis skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team of analysts across the investment department
  • Superior written, oral communication and presentation skills
  • The ability to plan, prioritise and manage resources (time, people, budget) to achieve objectives
  • Superior tertiary qualification in a related field
