ABOUT THE POSITION
Due to an increase in project workload there is an opportunity for an ambitious Safety and Quality Advisor to lead the Safety & Quality function in Sydney and surrounding suburbs, based out of Southern Sydney. The role comprises implementing the current safety and quality management system and getting out to sites as a source of guidance and support to the project teams. There is diversity in the role and an opportunity to step up and be the most senior point of contact for safety and quality. A stable organisation with a positive culture, this role presents the chance to work alongside committed professionals who encourage a team environment.
KEY EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Risk identification & assessment, ensuring regulations are met
- Carry out health and safety audits and work- place inspections
- Steer the development and implementation of HSEQ standards that align with compliance and due diligence requirements
- Work closely with senior management to adhere to legislative requirements
- Promote best practice and a positive safety culture
- Implement system changes and improvements to demonstrate continuous improvement
- Experience dealing with Safework Australia
- Actively analysing Safety performance, reporting, system updates
- Maintaining the company Integrated Management System to an accredited level
- Quality auditing and quality management system implementation
QUALIFICATION / SALARY:
- Diploma in OHS or related field
- Experience in residential or commercial construction projects as a Safety officer, safety coordinator or safety advisor
- Impeccable verbal and written communication skills
- Citizenship or permanent resident visa is a must
- Current drivers licence & willing to travel
