SimpleRent is a financial technology company focused on automating residential property payments and digitising lease contracts to remove time consuming and repetitive tasks from the Property Management routine. SimpleRent started with a simple statistic - 20% of a property manager’s working week can be spent on payment-related activities. We worked with property managers to map all the touch points and most importantly the pain points. We then designed a system that removes pain points and stress by automating mundane, time consuming payment related activities. This gives property managers their time back to engage with tenants and owners and uncover the best opportunities for their investment.

And right now they've asked us to find them a polished sales professional to come on board and lead the charge as their NSW Business Development Manager. Is that you?

Well, firstly do people generally describe you as:

  • A quick learner and commercially savvy;
  • Good at juggling multiple priorities at the same time;
  • Very goal driven and energetic;
  • Self-confident but not overbearing;
  • Someone who enjoys meeting with business-owners and and technology decision-makers;
  • A creative and adaptable thinker;
  • Comfortable in taking charge of sales situations when needed;
  • Good under pressure;
  • Resilient;
  • Pro-active and keen to take the initiative;
  • Good at reading both people - and the facts; and
  • Methodologically able to approach the sales process in a well organised way

If they do and you have 3+ years' experience of successful sales into the B2B Technology, SAAS or Fintech sector, then we'd be keen to meet. Obviously, if you have all the above and a history within the residential property management field that'd be a plus in your favour.

The gig

It's classic (yet contemporary) BD work. You'll be cleverly building a pipeline of real estate agencies with a property management business. Key contacts are principals, property managers and trust accountants. You'll be undertaking discovery calls with an intention of finding the nexus between the challenges they face in their property management division and the clever solutions the SimpleRent platform can provide... and signing them up.
