The Role
- Own the Operations function in the business, reporting to and part of the senior leadership team.
- Oversee the Operations team, including providing support to the Customer Service Team, Operations Manager, Warehouse Manager, and rest of the Operations team.
- Manage various projects in the business and the strategy roadmap.
- Lead and develop the Operations team, promoting our company culture.
- Own supply chain end to end and ensure a timely, safe delivery of products from international manufacturers to our global warehouses and then on to customers, including up-to-date tracking and reporting.
- Champion automation & efficiency company wide.
- Lead, develop and execute operations systems & plans including new market launches (in progress), standards, logistics, and ordering.
- Formulate and own the operations budget.
- Create uniformity, standardisation and documentation across the business, in operations processes, logistics, and administration.
- Build strategies to reduce costs & improve performance (measured through timeliness & customer satisfaction).
- Utilise & implement technology & software to solve company wide operations challenges, including but not limited to end-to-end logistic processes.
- Work closely with existing suppliers and service providers to ensure the company is always getting the best rates and level of service.
- Actively seek out new suppliers and service providers to meet the needs of the business.
- Drive continuous improvement in the business including automation and streamlining of processes, and the most efficient use of resources.
- Build and update pricing models for product SKUs across multiple markets.
- Track and resolve issues with deliveries.
Skills
- Proven experience in Logistics and Operations.
- Previous experience in Ecommerce preferred.
- Commercial mindset and passionate about organisational growth.
- Confident and strong-willed demeanor with the ability to successfully carry out negotiations with suppliers, contractors and other third-parties.
- Ability to deal with large volumes of data, interpret numbers and apply learnings.
- Experience with market research and ability to present findings with clarity.
- Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail - both written and verbal.
- Process driven with an appreciation for the importance of documentation and training
- Highly organised with the ability to work under high pressure situations.
- A go-getter attitude who is not afraid to pick up the phone and speak with external parties.
