Senior Commercial Manager – Strategic Sales


The Senior Commercial Manager is a newly created role within our ANZ Strategic ‎Accounts team. It is an incredibly exciting client-facing opportunity for a talented and ‎enthusiastic Commercial Finance professional to partner with our Strategic and ‎Corporate Account Managers, Operating Unit Leaders and c-suite customers. Within ‎this role, you will architect compelling financial deals and proposals, provide analysis and ‎insights and play a pivotal role in enabling the Medtronic Operating Units to achieve their ‎sales strategies. ‎


A Day in the Life

  • Partner with the Strategic and Corporate Account Managers to generate ‎incremental, profitable revenue from a portfolio of Key Accounts
  • Architect financial deals and proposals which can be endorsed by the Operating ‎Unit leaders, and presented to C-Suite customers
  • Maximise business results through leadership of analytics related to customer ‎agreements, contracted pricing offers and investments
  • Support the achievement of ANZ revenue targets, by building necessary ‎business models in order to generate required business revenue
  • Perform scenario planning and demonstrate impacts of strategies / decisions on ‎the business to facilitate prioritization and decision making.‎
  • Drive opportunities for continuous improvement and development of ‎management reporting and related systems and processes
  • Monthly, quarterly and annual contracted revenue performance financial ‎modelling and reporting, including forecasting contracted customer business ‎potential
  • Identify opportunities for improved customer contracting and pricing
  • Conduct presentations to existing and potential customers in support of the ‎Strategic Sales team.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Extensive Commercial Finance experience working within a complex matrix ‎environment
  • Demonstrated experience in financial modelling and business partnering in a ‎commercial environment ‎
  • Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills with the ability to ‎influence decision making
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and high degree ‎of initiative and self-motivation.‎
  • Demonstrated skills and competencies to operate in a finance and analytics ‎leadership role ‎
  • Advanced Excel skills and excellent computer literacy including a high level of ‎knowledge of the MS Office suite of software. ‎
  • Healthcare/Medical Devices multinational industry experience
