  • The Director of Sales will report to the Managing Director and be responsible for selling products by implementing sales plans and supervising sales staff. Meeting Sales Goals, Negotiation, Selling to Customer Needs, Motivation for Sales, Sales Planning, Building Relationships, Coaching, Managing Processes, Market Knowledge, Developing Budgets, Staffing. This position will be responsible for Australia and New Zealand.

Responsibilities:

  • Determines annual unit and revenue plans by implementing sales and marketing strategies; analyzing trends and results of industry. Accurately forecast annual, quarterly and monthly booking streams
  • Establishes sales objectives aligned to annual sales quotas for sales reps and territories; project expected sales volume for existing and new products.
  • Implements sales programs by developing new logo sales action plans.
  • Maintain and grow sales volume and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
  • Assists in establishing and adjusts selling prices by monitoring competition, and supply and demand.
  • Complete sales operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
  • Maintain national sales staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Maintain and grow sales staff results by counseling, coaching and performance managing employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Provides tactical and strategic territory, account, and opportunity leadership to multiple Account Executives who report to them.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending industry events; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Negotiate favorable outcomes in Customer escalations in conjunction and consultation with the Managing director.
  • Track and analyze leads from all sources
  • Act as leader – work with staff on various day-to-day issues that arise
  • Knowledge, Skills, Ability, Education & Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role (Senior Director, Director, Senior Manager) at a software company with domain experience in the manufacturing and/or ERP space.
  • Proven track record designing, shaping, and driving go-to-market strategies in the enterprise software space. Specifically, expertise building/launching successful B2B2C SaaS products/suites.
  • Must have skills to coach and assist reporting reps in relationship and benefit stream selling to “C” Level prospects, ability to understand business flow and articulate software benefits stream to prove out a return on investment.
  • Negotiation skills are critical and ability to work with a prospect from cold call to close.
  • Experience working for / with a global company with a highly matrixed operational structure.
  • A track record of directly leading, managing, and mentoring a high-performing team.
  • The ability to develop and create strong culture and loyalty among the employee base.
  • Demonstrated success in cross-organizational collaboration and matrix management
  • Proven ability to perform in a collaborative, team-oriented environment with a strong customer orientation (internal and external).
  • A bright and creative mind with highly developed leadership and interpersonal skills, quantitative analytical abilities, and superior communication skills.
  • Possess a sense of urgency with and the ability to communicate it to the team.
  • Must be impeccably honest and ethical. A successful executive who is smart, passionate, energetic, and results focused.
  • Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) is a plus.
