About us

Technology Solutions (TS) provides a range of Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) services for the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS). The business unit sets the strategic direction of ICT in alignment with the business direction. TS is responsible for ICT strategies, initiatives, architectures, policies, projects, applications, and infrastructure services in a multi-sourced environment.

About the role

As a Lead Developer, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing solutions using low-code development platform and integrating them with existing solutions e.g. Pega, Sharepoint, ServiceNow, .NET, JBoss, Java, WebMethods.
  • using agile, iterative delivery approaches for the design and delivery of new IT solutions and integrating them with existing solutions
  • ensuring that the specification and design of change meets the business needs, complies with standards, and align with enterprise and solution architectures
  • “hands on approach”, leading other team members and demonstrating good development practices through the delivery of innovative and practical solution components

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • a relevant ICT tertiary qualification (highly regarded)
  • appropriate vocation training or certifications in applications and/or specialist products (highly desirable)
  • proven experience in low-code development and model-driven design tooling e.g. OutSystems, Oracle Apex 5+, RESTful API Design (incl. WoVG API Standard) and Event Messaging Design
  • demonstrated experience in some of the following: WebMethods v7.n (and onwards) or similar technologies in an integration framework, OAUTH 2.0/SAML, Source code controls and Continuous Integration (CI) tools
  • demonstrated experience in more than one of the following: Domain Driven Design, Microservice Architecture, Event Driven Architecture, RESTful Architecture, Information Modelling, Integration Modelling, Low-code design and delivery
  • experience in iterative, incremental, and agile software development methodologies.
