Connections Planning Director

Scope of Role:

The role of the strategy/connections team at Foundation is simple – to enable account teams and clients to produce better work by pushing and challenging thinking. We work both independently; and with account teams to push them an extra 10%, to turn good work into phenomenal work.

As a Connections Director you will to set and lead the planning for your Client's campaigns and deliver the best possible planning product. You will support your Business Director and Group Business Director in leveraging relationships to create and sell insightful media plans as well as being a leader and coach to the rest of your team.

You will demonstrate expert skills in planning and champion OMNI Studio to the wider agency.

In a unique role, you will work with both the brand teams, agency client teams and creative agencies to build an integrated approach to Strategy and to make sure that the strategy is connected right through the plan

The role encompasses:

  • Origination of the Communications Plan: The creation of channel plans that build from the core media idea and demonstrate expert planning skills
  • Client relationship management: the principal client contact for the whole planning process.
  • Leverage strong relationships & the ability to influence clients and media owners at all levels.
  • Strategically deliver insightful media strategies for your client, in conjunction with the strategy team when appropriate
  • Identify strategic creative and innovative media initiatives that are born out of the strategic media direction and lead their implementation.
  • Work with the Investment team to ensure com's framework is executed accurately, lead and coach the team to achieve a desired outcome.
  • Ensure all media goals and strategies are achievable and executable within budgets using support of the Investment team.
  • Own the planning process across all media, including digital. This will include making sure digital adheres to OMNI studio principles.

  • 5 + years media planning/strategic experience
  • You have exceptional presentation skills and storytelling ability
  • You are passionate about media innovation and technology
  • You are curious about people and their behaviours
  • You are able to meld irrefutable logic with creativity
  • Advanced Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, Asteroid,
  • Evidence of awards won or contributed to.
