The Opportunity

Currently we have a rare and unique opportunity for a strategic and a transformational leader in the form of a Director Customer Service - South and West Region for NSW Trainlink that sits within the ROM division (Regional and Outer Metropolitan) of Transport for NSW. As a member of the senior leadership team in NSW TrainkLink, you will provide visible leadership to a cross functional, regionally based diverse workforce team coupled with providing an optimal transport experience for customers and the community across regional and outer-metropolitan NSW. You will be accountable for managing, large operational budgets, ensuring strategic partnering with key internal and external stakeholders within the region and business, train & coach customer service, incident management, Rail Safety requirements, Enterprise and Safety risk . You put people at the centre of every decision you make and draw satisfaction from the knowledge that you’re making a real difference working on by providing services that connect people and communities in NSW.

About You

With a high level of pragmatism, you are a passionate and proven people leader who has led in a complex and dynamic rail environments or similar transport/logistics or mining/aviation business environment with demonstrated experience and knowledge of customer service, operations, workforce planning and emergency preparedness. You bring demonstrated strategic leadership, influencing and communication skills with a proven ability in driving and delivering cultural change and process transformation. As a big picture person, you are a strategic operator who understands operational mindsets with a demonstrated experience in operational environments leading in large and complex multi-disciplinary commercial and/or customer service organisations.
