Diageo’s ambition is to create one of the best performing, most trusted and respected consumer products companies in the world. Currently our Luxury spirits sales in Australasia are executed through on and off premise customer groups taking a wider range of Diageo products. With that said, there exists a significant opportunity to drive our Luxury/ Prestige Brands in Australia. We envision to bring in someone that can lead the Luxury Brands Sales unit, with a clear objective to double the Luxury Brands business between FY21 and FY23, drive new business opportunities to increase Diageo’s route to market footprint. This role will lead the commercial arm of a cross functional team to accelerate our position as the No. 1 spirits company in Australia.

Please note this will be a 6-month family leave cover contract.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the strategy and the execution approach for the Luxury brands business model unlocking this profitable revenue stream for Diageo
  • Be the lead for the Prestige portfolio across existing on & off premise customers – supporting the account managers who look after these accounts
  • Lead new business generation focused on Luxury sales, developing new routes to market
  • Establish and build relationships with customers and business partners to access HNWIs / UHNWIs in Australasia
  • Connect with global Prestige teams to access global innovation pipeline and share local results
  • Be the lead on Luxury brands portfolio commercial performance, identifying opportunities within new and existing customers to deliver commercial performance ambitions and reporting on monthly performance
  • Partner with GBTs and Local brand teams to scope opportunities for growth
  • Taking global execution standards ensure local executions always meet these requirements
  • Continue to evolve the way of working across the business that helps accelerate the growth of Diageo’s luxury brands
  • Actively lead knowledge training within the Australian business and continue to develop own knowledge

Experience Required

  • Strategic thinking
  • Connections & strong relationship building skills with key HNIs
  • Ability to partner with account managers to support execution of Luxury sales in existing customers
  • Lead a broad range of key stakeholders across the sales team, marketers and innovators to access opportunities
  • Identify new customer, channel and business partner opportunities and establish new links
  • Ability to manage P&L
  • Knowledge of Spirits optimal
  • Minimum 5-7 years in the Industry or in Luxury
