With an extensive global network of manufacturing plants and R&D centres, this organisation has the ambition and capability to be a leader in their respective sectors. In line with their desire for continued growth, there is currently an exciting, newly created opportunity to join the organisation in the role of Head of Ag Key Accounts.

The Role

Reporting to the Managing Director, this newly created position is responsible for developing and implementing a coordinated plan to position the organisation as a preferred supplier to large corporate and government accounts throughout Australia. More specifically, you will be involved in the following areas.

  • Define the key account business model and strategic account plan;
  • Drive planned expansion by actively seeking out opportunities with key account customers nationally;
  • Work with internal stakeholders and dealers across the brands to lead a coordinated approach, while developing innovative packages that satisfy key account customers;
  • Build strong working relationships with key account customers and coordinate regular account calls with all relevant stakeholders and dealers;
  • Work with the dealer network to maximize all fleet opportunities, with a focus on council and government clients;
  • Forecasting of monthly retail deliveries; and
  • Actively leading and coaching a small team of Key Account Managers.

Required Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in a senior B to B Account Management, Business Development or Marketing role;
  • Advanced presentation skills with the ability to influence at board and senior management level;
  • Strong commercial acumen and well-developed negotiation skills;
  • Prior experience in the agricultural, farming, machinery, fleet leasing, agribusiness, or related sectors;
  • Well developed ability to influence and coordinate internal and external stakeholders;
  • Proven experience in developing and executing whole of business growth strategies;
  • A “hands on” style with the ability to tailor your approach to a diverse audience;
  • Highly motivated, driven and energetic personality with a passion for growth; and
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing or Agricultural Science
