The Dir – Business Development will find new and manage existing partnerships as well as coordinate our approach and sales strategy on large business opportunities. This role identifies, pursues, and secures business with new clients to meet or exceed individual and vertical sales goals within a geographical region, country, and/or territory. The Dir – Business Development also establishes and maintains relationships with key customer executives within the industry.


• Grows the company’s revenue and profitability by expanding client base.
• Identifies prospective clients through analysis of current marketplace data and a strong understanding of the industry, its challenges and opportunities.
• Establishes and owns relationships with key contacts at prospective clients, and develops prospects into becoming new clients. Owns client relationship from prospect stage to client stage.
• Works to maximize net sales, volume, share position and promotes the company to meet strategic business objectives.
• Builds and uses simple business models to analyze profitability of various business cases and make recommendations to next level management for approval to improve company profitability.
• Directs a specific annual revenue target based on estimated forecasts for new clients.
• Develops and maintains prospective clients’ pipeline, forecasts and revenues, and provides regular activity reports to Senior Management and Leadership.
• Develops effective forecasting models considering the company’s product/service umbrella, existing clients’ experience, current market and business conditions, and gathered prospective client’s intelligence on business challenges and needs to help establish strategies and priorities, and drive decisions.
• Develops effective responses to Requests for Proposals (RFP) as needed.
• Organizes and facilitates meetings with targeted prospective clients and internal teams to identify adequate services/offerings to meet prospective clients’ needs.
• Creates strong and effective internal partnerships with client and product teams to ensure services are properly scoped and priced to meet prospective client needs, and initial projects stay within scope, budget, timeline, quality and other Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Participates in the Strategic Account Planning (SAPs) process; drives the growth required to meet financial goals by developing and executing the annual strategic Account Plans as it pertains to new clients.
• Participates in, and often leads, the development and delivery of innovative proposals to capture both account growth and new business opportunities.
• Develops and implements the strategic and tactical plans (e.g., pricing, products, programs) for each major account and drives results directly through the District Sales Managers and Regional Managers.
• Takes best practices of Major Accounts and works to execute them within the Division’s smaller accounts.
• Collaborates with management of major accounts to develop sales programs/presentations, and marketing initiatives to be used by the major accounts.
• Develops sales tools and collateral materials for both internal & external customers.
• Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of employee(s) to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished. Mentors, coaches, trains and develops team.


• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Development or related field
• Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) preferred
• 10+ years progressive sales and business development experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Understand margin calculations, profit and loss.
• 8+ years in a leadership role (direct or indirect)
• Periodic travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
• High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
• Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
• Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
