The Opportunity
A SHAPE Project Director is an active member of the Senior Leadership Team and is primarily responsible for managing the safe, profitable and timely delivery of projects. Furthermore, they will work across various project teams supporting and reviewing the management contracts, finances and people to ensure delivery on time and within budget. The role plays a key part in the success of the branches performance in relation to strategic objectives, financial performance, the development of our people, and maintaining a constructive culture.
As part of your responsibilities you will;
  • Oversee the delivery and finances of multiple projects from pre-construction through to completion.
  • Administer Head Contract including the delivery of projects to project specifications and contractual requirements.
  • Manage procurement of subcontractors and supplies; including tendering, letting of subcontracts, and subcontracts negotiations.
  • Implement and manage SHAPE project delivery systems.
  • Manage EHSQ & Environmental Responsibilities for the project(s).
  • Manage the performance of the project team and be responsible for the development and mentoring of the project teams.
  • Develop and maintain business development and sales activities.

About you

To become a SHAPIAN, we look for people who are interested in development and innovation, but there are few skills you’ll need in your toolkit;
  • Experience of fit out & refurbishment projects over $10m
  • Strong understanding of project management within the construction industry.
  • Strong financial acumen and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
  • Understanding of specifications and drawings for accuracy and build ability.
  • Excellent knowledge of EHSQ & Environmental principles.
  • Building related degree or diploma, or Trade background.
