How will I help?

Reporting to the General Manager Human Resources, the Head of HR, Mortgages, Everyday Banking & Consumer Finance is a key leadership position which forges strong partnerships with Managing Directors and their direct reports. In building and shaping the people strategy to support the overall strategy for the Mortgages, Everyday Banking & Consumer Finance lines of business, you will lead significant shifts in culture and how we engage with our employees.

You will be focused on developing talent and workforce designs to meet current and future business needs, whilst demonstrating a continuous improvement mindset through continued reflection on HR processes, policies and practices. This role is instrumental in leading and influencing the change and transformation agenda to embed Agile work practices (‘flow to work’) into the three lines of business.

Partnering with our Agile HR team, you will provide leadership and coaching to team members, as well as HR Shared Services and Centres of Excellence, and in doing so deliver strategic HR initiatives and outcomes.

This position is being offered as a 12 month max term contract.

What do I need?

  • Senior HR generalist background in Banking/Financial Services
  • Have previously held Head of HR roles or similar positions
  • Experience working in an agile and lean work environment
  • Transformation and change experience in large, complex organisations
  • Outstanding relationship management skills and proven experience consulting to senior stakeholders
  • Strong business and commercial acumen
  • Analytical with strong attention to detail
  • Confidence dealing with senior stakeholders and constructive challenge
