Job Description:

Position Overview

The IT Senior Project Manager Cloud (IT Sr. PM), will be responsible for coordinating all IT activities for a major Epiq client and the associated IT projects in the program. Primary geographies the PM will be working with include Asia Pacific (Australia, Hong Kong and China), the UK and the US.

The IT Sr PM will report to the Director of Project Management who is based in the US.

The IT Sr PM will lead the following types of workstreams/projects related to this client program, all part of a multi-year roadmap for the client:

· New cloud builds

· Instance refactoring

· Instance upgrades and enhancements

· Disaster recovery builds and testing

· Penetration testing

· Other projects as specified

The IT Sr PM is expected to play a significant leadership role driving collaboration across diverse, geographically distributed, cross-functional project teams, aligning priorities, setting expectations, managing dependencies, communicating project status and driving organizational change management.

Job Responsibilities:

The planning, reporting, resourcing, project kickoff, scheduling, delivery, and closing related activities for projects.

Obtaining and validating project resources; both IT and business.

Ensuring the project scope is clear and that business requirements are understood so that technical requirements and solutions can be developed.

Managing project scope to ensure projects stay on track.

Defining work breakdown structures (WBS) and creating projects schedules by working with project team members.

Driving an appropriate sense of urgency toward project deliverables and project completion with the project team.

Building collaborative working relationships with business stakeholders and project team members.

Tracking project actuals against the project plan. Baselining and revising the plan when necessary.

Identifying risks and issues throughout the project life cycle. Evaluating courses of action and contingency plans, including mitigations or escalations.

Removing impediments for the project team.

Tracking project spend against approved budgets and reporting on forecasts and variances, when applicable.

Developing a communications plan to ensure appropriate stakeholders are informed or consulted.

Communicating project status and/or escalations to Project and Executive Sponsors as required.

Providing reporting to ensure stakeholders have a clear understanding of the project status.

Collaborating with project stakeholders to achieve project milestones and customer satisfaction.

Recommending project process improvements.

Required Qualifications & Characteristics:

A minimum of 8-10 years IT Project Management experience; previous IT infrastructure project experience preferred.

Previous experience with Cloud (AWS or Azure) and automation to the Cloud a requirement.

Experience with migration of applications and data between on-prem data centers and Cloud, and Cloud to Cloud a requirement.

Exposure to Identity and Access management services or tools, Okta a plus.

Familiarity with agile development methodologies a plus. Azure DevOps and Jira platforms a bonus.

Ability to get the respect of the senior technical teams to lead projects, coordinate teams and handle issues and problems effectively in a timely manner is required.

A Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably in a technical- or business-related field.

A strong track record successfully delivering complex, large scale projects with a high level of customer satisfaction.

Experience managing multiple, complex, and concurrent technology projects at varying stages, across

PMP or PRINCE2 certification preferred.

ITIL process framework certification or knowledge is a plus, as is experience in Lean or Six Sigma methodology, including “belt” certification. #LI-CM1
