MTIA is established as an Administrative Office under the Public Administration Act 2004 as a specialist organisation, comprising skilled and experienced staff across the various professional disciplines involved in transport infrastructure project delivery. Led by the Director-General, it has five key groups: Level Crossing Removal Project, Major Road Projects Victoria, the North East Link Project, Rail Projects Victoria and the West Gate Tunnel Project. The Minister for Transport Infrastructure is the responsible Minister for the projects which are developed and delivered by MTIA.
About this Opportunity
The Director, Network Signalling Strategy is a key leadership role within the newly formed Signalling Strategy Taskforce (SST). The Director, Network Signalling Strategy reports to the Executive Director, Signalling Strategy and works collaboratively with other members of the SST and other members of the MTIA executives providing strategic advice particularly in relation to complex matters associated with improving the capability and capacity of the Victorian railway signalling industry to support the demands of Victoria's Big Build.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate significant direct experience working with senior executives and stakeholders delivering and/or leading delivery of rail projects within Victoria and elsewhere. The role will, from time to time, involve direct liaison and consultation with various project teams, rail authorities and other stakeholders to gather, collate and provide data and advice pertaining to the identification, options and recommendation of strategies and solutions to resolve signalling industry issues.
This role will contribute to and champion both technical and people development issues, lead positive team culture, and motivate the team to achieve outstanding results.
