A new opportunity has arisen for Senior Project Engineer to join Comdain's Clayton office, Victoria.

The Senior Project Engineer is required to manage gas main construction projects, co-ordinate contractors, work with supervisor and project managers and taking ownership for the life cycle of the projects and building on our strong relationships

As the successful candidate, you will demonstrate the following;

• Prepare engineering analysis of projects to include: preliminary design, calculation, life cycle cost and equipment selection;
• Perform technical, engineering, inspection, scheduling, planning, procurement and quality control functions for assigned project issues;
• Prepare and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, layouts and technical construction specifications;
• Coordinate the activities of the design and construction teams;
• Assisting in the tendering process by developing tender lists, evaluating tenders and preparing the recommendations to award contracts;
• Developing a scope of works for the tender package;
• Manage subcontractors and subcontract administration;
• Manage construction activities and resolve construction issues as they arise;

In addition to the above, we require an individual with;

• Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local building codes and safety laws;
• Ability to build and leverage on relationships internally and externally;
• Diploma of Civil Engineering, Building, Construction or equivalent
• A Tool of trade vehicle, phone and laptop are provided
• Knowledge & understanding of the Project Delivery life cycle
• Up to 5 years’ experience within the civil construction & gas industry is required
