About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead and manage the Compliance Function for iptiQ ANZ, with overall responsibility for the function's performance.

Reporting directly to the Head Compliance iptiQ APAC, your main responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

Supporting delivery of the iptiQ ANZ Compliance strategy by inputting to the development of Annual Compliance Plans within the business and input to the Company Group Annual Compliance Plan;

Supporting Group Compliance in the carrying out of Compliance assurance and monitoring activities in respect of the iptiQ ANZ business.

Developing and ensuring appropriate implementation of a robust risk-based Compliance Programme for the business taking business model specific requirements into account, including maintenance of Compliance Risk frameworks in coordination with Group Compliance;

Providing timely, practical high-quality compliance advice across the entire primary insurance value chain;

Supporting the development of compliant products and propositions in close interaction with business functions;

Providing guidance on oversight of distributors and outsourced service providers as part of the oversight framework and conducting specific compliance oversight as required;

Providing regular compliance risk reporting to the iptiQ ANZ board of directors, the iptiQ ANZ senior management team and input to Group Compliance reports; and

Providing relevant reporting to regulatory/competent authorities, as appropriate.

About the Team

iptiQ Compliance is multi-jurisdictional team composed of 15 Compliance professionals based in Europe, Asia, Australia and the US, and we continue to grow as our business expands. The team consists of 4 sub-teams, iptiQ P&C, iptiQ EMEA L&H, iptiQ Americas, iptiQ Asia and iptiQ Australia. The teams are responsible for Compliance matters relating to iptiQ. The team spirit is based on trust, ease of interaction and fun! We value continuous development and new opportunities.

About You

Compliance professional with significant and proven experience in the Australian market;

Qualifications in Law or Risk management subjects (Compliance, Audit, Risk) preferred;

Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and work in cross functional teams;

Ability to take the initiative and take accountability in an entrepreneurial environment whilst maintaining appropriate balance between "enabling" and "assurance";

Proven experience working with carriers that engage in a fully digital environment;

Experience working on partner distribution models and digital transformation;

Experience in interfacing with Regulators; and

Experience in preparing and presenting reports to senior management meetings.
