An exciting new opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Finance & Property Development Department.

With over 90,000 assessments you will play a vital role as Team Leader Revenue in performing the rating and accounts receivable functions of Council. Being commercially astute with proven staff management and supervision of day to day operations experience in a revenue environment in implementing revenue best practice, you will be able to add value to the organisation. You will be maintaining strong relationships across a range of stakeholders, utilising your sound analytical skills and strong attention to detail but also be able to adopt a pragmatic approach when required.

You will also be a team player who is highly motivated, innovative and with strong communication and computer skills. You will also have the ability to manage competing priorities and have relevant experience at a senior level in a Local Government environment. It is also highly desirable if you understand the Local Government Act.

  • Ability to supervise and motivate staff and develop team procedures Administration and cash handling.
  • Proficiency in implementing the requirements of the Local Government Act, Fire Services Property Levy Act, State Concessions Act and any other act or legislation pertaining to rating.
  • Implementing personnel policies and practices.
  • Proficiency in computer-based accounting, database management and understanding of computer technology and its applications.
