What you’ll do

Your role will focus on researching, analysing, evaluating and monitoring our extensive courier and distribution network to ensure optimal delivery performance.

You’ll use your courier and distribution experience, our customer, courier and operations data and processes to get to the root cause of recurring network issues and waste.

You’ll lead the discovery, design and implementation of projects aimed at reducing cost, time wastage and leakages, focussing on the first and last mile. Developing and sustaining productive relationships with internal and external project stakeholders, keeping them informed about project milestone progress, key considerations or decisions to be made and their outcomes.

You’ll also:

  • Document new processes, create resources and conduct training for internal Sendle support and partnerships teams and external courier partners.
  • Provide Support, Partnerships and Network teams with advice on operational process improvements and quality management
  • Conduct site visits and audits of courier partners as required
  • Be an active member of the Network team, contributing to operational activities and projects that create sustainable margins, expand our distribution network, creates a compelling service for our customers and increases network speed and efficiency
What you’ll need

Proven experience optimising distribution operational processes

  • 8+ years’ experience delivering process and system improvements in a distribution, courier or eCommerce operations environment
  • A consultant mindset and approach with an insatiable curiosity to understand and solve customer, courier services and business needs. Engineering backgrounds are a plus.
  • You’ll also enjoy a minimum viable process and you look for ways to improve, save time and do things smarter.
  • Working knowledge of the eCommerce and courier industry in both Australia and the rest of the world

Well-honed project and stakeholder management skills

  • Quality management (lean, six sigma), project management qualifications (MSP, PRINCE 2, PMBOK, Agile etc) or demonstrated advanced knowledge of quality project management principles and practices
  • Great communication skills and the ability to break down complex problems for our internal teams, third party courier partners, eCommerce aggregator partners and provide great solutions that meet their needs
  • Exposure to an agile software product development lifecycle, timelines and milestones

To thrive in a fast-paced, changeable tech environment. You’ll be comfortable working with Zendesk, Hubspot, Slack, Trello, Miro and other CRM or remote working tools.
