Meetings and Events are part of our DNA at Lancemore Hotels, w e are currently looking for a passionate and driven Director of Sales to lead sales at our boutique properties. The role will be repsonsible for driving sales across the Meetings, Incentives, Conference and Events market.

Based at the Lancemore Group's Head Office in Melbourne, this is an amazing and rare opportunity for an experienced and passionate senior BDM or DOS. The successful applicant will have previous experience driving sales, sourcing new clients, maintaining existing relationships, maximising sales and increase occupancy through networking, promotions and marketing.

You will form part of the senior management team and report directly to the Hotels General Manager.

Your knowledge of the business events sector, market drivers and trends, competitors, and ideas for new business opportunities must be demonstratable. Professional qualifications will be highly regarded, as will your experience in top tier organisations. Financial analyses, forecasting and reporting are key responsibilities and you will need to be able to show your acumen in this area.

About You:

  • Minimum 2-5 years experience in Sales Management role, with strong exposure to MICE Sales
  • Have an established networks
  • Strong leadership and sales conversion skills, able to negotiate commercial outcomes and hungry to secure new business
  • Passion for managing and maintaining key accounts
  • Team player, great personality and passion for boutique hotels and the service that matches the quality of our product
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with a dash of charm
  • Success in selling via lead generation and cold calling
  • Experienced, successful and passionate about meeting sales targets and KPI's
  • Conduct familiarisation and site inspections with new and existing clients, including on weekends if required.
  • You will have a 'can do' attitude and understand what it takes to achieve the best results and provide an unforgettable experience for your clientele
