Job DescriptionSmart, hungry and ambitious entrepreneurial type wanted for a unique opportunity to drive and shape the future of AFR Lists portfolio.
As the Program Director, Lists you will be given absolute responsibly for the commercial, editorial and operational success of the AFR Lists portfolio, which includes a range of business/industry rankings and awards programs such as Most Innovative Companies, Fast 100 and Fast Starters, Young Executives, MBA Rankings, Best Places to Work and Top 100 Accounting Firms.
You will manage and deliver each list, ranking or awards program from start to finish. Key tasks include:
Conceptualising and planning lists and awards programs, including business models, categories etc
Designing, reviewing and confirming methodologies and judging mechanisms
Designing, implementing and managing submission and shortlisting processes
Project-managing external research partners and other internal and external stakeholders as needed
Creating sponsorship packages, generating leads and negotiating deals to secure sponsorship revenue, working with Nine sales staff as appropriate
Coordinate key technology platforms (eg landing pages, submission portals andentra databases
Assisting in the creation of marketing assets and execution of marketing campaigns; copywriting for marketing, submission and sales collateral
Liaising with the AFR newsroom and editorial leadership to coordinate editorial coverage
Communicating with entrants and answering public questions
Personally conducting quantitative or qualitative data analysis to determine rankings where applicable
Investigating opportunities and partners for new List initiatives
We are looking for a Program Director who will consolidate and grow our premium Lists offerings over the coming years in line with AFR editorial and commercial strategy.
QualificationsTo be successful in this role you will need:
Proven experience working independently to manage multiple projects to tight deadlines
Entrepreneurial, determined and commercially-minded approach to drive revenue
Experience with data analysis, research or statistics, and familiarity with Excel
Ability to understand sponsor objectives, generate sponsor leads, and sell major sponsorship packages
Excellent stakeholder management skills, particularly with sponsors, editorial, media sales and team members
