We're looking for a candidate to fill this position in an exciting company.

  • Support the Compliance and Conduct team in identifying and developing key service lines and client relationships – with a particular focus on consumer credit
  • Lead the provision of our expert advisory services to our financial services clients on better practice solutions for complying with consumer credit regulations and related lending products; including but not limited to: Mortgage Brokers Best Interest Duty, Banking Code of Practice, Design and Distribution Obligations and National Consumer Credit Protection Act.
  • Support the provision of some or all of our other advisory services to our clients, including but not limited to: compliance frameworks, governance and controls, monitoring & supervision, financial advice compliance, regulatory requirements, privacy & data protection, regulatory changes and best practice compliance management operating models
  • Lead the preparation and final delivery of engagement proposal documents, engagement risk assessment processes, resource requirement plans, budgets, statements of work and engagement letters
  • Lead teams of varying sizes to deliver field work, including but not limited to: document analysis, policy annotation and drafting, procedure drafting, client interviews, risk and controls assessments, client workshops, assisting clients with their dealings with regulators, independent expert reports and target operating model development.
  • Prepare written reports and presentations of findings to provide or present to the client at key stages and the conclusion of engagements
  • High level of knowledge regarding the Australian Regulatory environments for the financial services industry;
  • Expert understanding of the regulatory requirement related to consumer credit including the Mortgage Brokers Best Interest Duty, Banking Code of Practice, Design and Distribution Obligations, National Consumer Credit Protection Act and related ASIC Regulatory Guidance;
  • International experience and knowledge that can be leveraged for Australian clients, while not essential, will be looked upon favourably;
  • Understanding of how to design, manage and/or implement frameworks, policies and controls within a financial services firm;
  • Strong ability to form lasting and productive client relationships;
  • Strong knowledge of the guidance provided by the ISO 19600 - Compliance Management Standards and an ability to apply this to business processes.
