About us

COVID-19 Quarantine Victoria (CQV) is responsible for Victoria's COVID-19 Accommodation response, including:

  • Mandatory quarantine for returned overseas travellers
  • Emergency Accommodation for people that cannot safely isolate/quarantine in their accommodation.

The Victorian Chief Health Officer has mandated that all returning overseas travellers arriving in Victoria must go into mandatory quarantine for 14 days from the day of their arrival to help prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

In addition, CQV is responsible for the operation of Victoria's Emergency Accommodation program for community members and their close contacts who have tested positive for COVID-19 and where an assessment has concluded that there are no other suitable alternative accommodation options for self-isolation.

Infection control and prevention is the primary objective of the mandatory quarantine and emergency accommodation programs.

About the role

Play a critical role as a Manager, Performance Analytics developing and uplifting data quality and integrity across CQV, focused on the business's operational areas. Additionally, you will be managing staff performance through performance management and development processes.

This role will ideally suit a confident professional who embraces a service mindset, provides data support to different stakeholders and has solid stakeholder engagement and management skills.

Your strong analytical mindset, high attention to detail and problem-solving skills will drive you to manage high-level complex and sensitive data. If you are passionate about delivering valuable analytics and developing strategic and operational insights, please apply.

Travel within the greater Melbourne area to COVID-19 accommodation sites may be required and work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

The role will also include:

  • Support the preparation and delivery of reports and briefings and make high-quality recommendations regarding the analysis of information and data.
  • Drive the development, uplift and review of data quality, integrity and governance practices across CQV.
  • Maintain the reputation of the department by ensuring that all activities are conducted in compliance with departmental policies and with due consideration for community safety.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Significant experience in providing data support, advice and/or analysis to senior stakeholders within a high pressure, dynamic, and unstructured environment.
  • Experience in Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Excel. Computer literate with a working knowledge of the full range of Microsoft Windows and MS Office application suite software.
  • An understanding of the organisation's structure, responsibilities, climate, and culture, including the issues and pressures to which the organisation has to respond.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience working to meet tight deadlines, achieve targets and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to operate well at both a strategic and operational level
