We are currently looking for a Program Director to join our Advisory business, based in Melbourne

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Program Director to join our Operations and Delivery Leadership Team. Reporting to the General Manager, this senior position will be responsible for leading a complex and demanding program as an embedded services provider to a major Defence project. You will be responsible for managing and leading a cross discipline team of up to 50 staff from both QinetiQ and a small group of sub-contractors.

We are seeking someone who can demonstrate:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in an appropriate discipline
  • Significant experience in a leadership role within Defence industry, preferably based around delivering a complex services based program
  • Proven Business Development expertise
  • Experience managing the performance (cost and time) of multiple concurrent projects or programs of projects using Earned Value Management.
  • Prior experience leading and managing a professional, tertiary qualified workforce.
  • Ability to solicit, support and coordinate efforts of diverse teams of technical and functional experts.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to negotiate with and influence internal and/or external stakeholders in a way which generates business benefit whilst maintaining key relationships.
  • Thorough understanding of the procurement process including the ability to conduct negotiation with third parties.
  • Strong people leader, generating engagement both internally and externally..

Applicants MUST be eligible to obtain an Australian Government security clearance.
